Once an Electorate of the Holy Roman Empire, then a kingdom and now a Federated State of Germany.

Saxony should not be confused wit the westgermanic old tribe of the Saxons. Albert is from the House of Wettin, an old german dynasty of German counts, dukes, prince-electors (Kurfürsten) and kings that once ruled the area of today's German states of Saxony, the Saxon part of Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia for more than 800 years. (small History lesson, sorry for that :D)

Saxony is in general a very friendly guy, who loves to drink coffee and to eat the famous saxon "Eierschecke" (kind of a cake) and the Stollen. Because of that he is also called sometimes "Kaffeesachse (coffee-saxon). He loves also art and architecture and is very proud of his capital Dresden, but also open for other cultures. Another thing is his accent, many western countries like to make fun of him, so he gets a bit angry and says that the accent is "historical and it was once the best accent in the empire!"

He is a close friend of Austria (who also loves to drink coffee), Hungary and Poland (lets face it, he likes all slavic countries) and has an affection for his neighbour Bohemia. But he can be veeery stubborn, for expample if he is in war with Prussia again. Many times it happened that Prussia invaded Saxony and forced him to work together! Albert lost many wars, resulting that Prussia got huge parts of Saxony, back when he was a Kingdom. He still has a small grudge against Prussia, but today they are fine and happy reunited to Germany. More or less because Saxony also loves it to rant. Also has an affection for black/yellow and white/green. Saxony also lives together with his sorbic siblings - the descendants of the old westslavic tribes who lived there before the german moved to east again.
